The soldered SSD is a real bummer here. I have encountered failed Windows computers (custom built desktops and gaming laptops) many times but I have never lost really lost any data. That’s because I could easily detach the hard drives and use them elsewhere. Also, prior to this M1 Macbook Air, I have used 4 MacBooks and none of them failed for the past 10 years! I guess I was “overconfident” in this machine 😑
