I love coffee. I used to take 4 to 6 espresso shots every day since I started my full-time job. For the past 6 years, it’s been impossible to begin my day without a cup of nice coffee.

Yes, I was a caffeine addict.

An Empty To-Do List

For some reason, I had a very long list of daily tasks. I couldn’t wait to cross off every single item on my to-do list most of the time. Why was I in such a rush? Well, having an empty to-do list makes me happy. I felt a great sense of achievement knowing that I have completed today's tasks.

But how about getting a little bit more done today? Can I do more than yesterday? Since my happiness depended on an empty to-do list, getting more things done should give me greater satisfaction, right?
