Several things are changing in the legal profession as a result of the arrival of the AI age. From chatbots assisting thousands of attorneys to AI that performed well on the American Bar Test, it is impossible to overstate the importance of AI in the legal industry.

Yet, I’m curious about the world of AI attorneys and the potential and difficulties they provide because this change has me anxious about the impact it will have on ethics, jobs, and the future of human lawyers.

Innovative Use of AI in the Law

A recent achievement by OpenAI’s ChatGPT passing the US Bar Exam demonstrates how AI has the potential to change the area of law. In addition, PwC has used an AI chatbot for its 4,000 lawyers in an effort to increase productivity, and AI-assisted patent attorneys are more prevalent.

It has prompted attorneys to reevaluate their practices, since AI-powered technologies can handle massive quantities of data, analyze legal papers, and search for precedents at rates that were previously impossible.
