I agree, but I'll be honest with you, I also have the habit of walking traveling around multiple times a day with the laptop, and I really don't like having even my tiniest SSD dangling around that small and flimsy USB-C port. Plus, my project file size is usually in the range of 100 - 200 GB. I don't know how versatile is this backup method for my use, but I will definitely test it out. For now, the whole physical connect just doesn't feel safe for my use. Thanks for the recommendation by the way!
